What is CFturbo?

CFturbo is an interactive and user-friendly turbomachinery design software. With CFturbo, you can create completely new geometries as well as modify existing designs. Reverse engineering is supported.

CFturbo guides the user step-by-step through the complete design process of a turbomachine. A first draft can be generated automatically, and in the subsequent design process the user has control over every detail.

Our pump module is made for the design and optimization of all types of rotodynamic pumps.

CFturbo supports the design of axial, mixed-flow and centrifugal pumps.

Special pump components like inducers or sewage water impellers can be created as well.

Our fan module is made for engineers who design and optimize all types of fans, blowers, and ventilators.

CFturbo supports the design of axial, mixed-flow, and centrifugal ventilators. Special types like radiator fans or squirrel-cage blowers can also be created.

Module: Turbine Design

Our turbine module can be used to design and optimize radial inflow and axial gas turbines as well as radial and axial hydro turbines (Francis, Kaplan/ Pipe turbine).

The fluid property database, CoolProp, allows the user to apply a wide variety of fluids, such as rocket fuel or supercritical CO2.

Special blade shapes can be applied for different manufacturing methods.
