CAE Interfaces and Workflows
CFturbo provides interfaces to all major CAD and CFD systems, allowing automated workflows to be built.

For ANSYS, interfaces to three applications are available:
- SpaceClaim (STEP based)
- TurboGrid (native *.curve, *.tse oder *.inf)
- ICEM-CFD (STEP based)
CFturbo is fully integrated into the ANSYS-Workbench, including bi-directional parameter update. ANSYS-Workbench
For ICEM-CFD, a scripted solution is available that enables fully automated Tet / Prism meshing of CFturbo geometries. ANSYS ICEM-CFD
The interface to TCFD is based on STL geometry. In addition, a comprehensive project file * .tcfd is generated within CFturbo.
Parameters for geometry generation, meshing, and simulation can be prepared within CFturbo. Automated meshing and simulation in TCFD becomes possible. To evaluate results, special expressions are generated to perform turbomachinery post-processing.
For Numeca's CFD solver, FINE/Turbo interfaces to two applications are currently available:
IGG (*.dat, *.py)
- AutoGrid (*.geomTurbo, *.py)
Additionally, for non-periodic geometries, neutral formats such as STEP, IGES, or Parasolid can be applied.
The STEP-based interface to STAR-CCM + enables high-quality geometry transfer, whereas all domains and individual part names are transferred to the model tree. Thus, automated design exploration is easy.
Export interfaces to SimericsMP are based on STL files. In addition, a comprehensive project file * .spro is generated within CFturbo.
Parameters for meshing and simulation can be prepared within CFturbo. Automated meshing and simulation in SimericsMP can be done.
